“Fill a Stable” - our Advent Project at St. Patrick’s – officially kicks off on Monday, December 2nd. As a school, we will be raising money to buy animals for communities in developing countries. Purchasing animals provides vital nutrition to children and families while bringing them extra income. A variety of animals, such as hens, goats, and cows, can be purchased. Our goal will be to raise $1200 which will help fill a stable. Families are invited to donate $10 at the beginning of December, which will allow all their children to participate in the month’s activities. All families who make the $10 donation will receive a Christmas ornament (with their family name) to put on our tree in the front hallway. Alternatively, families may donate for each child on each, individual day. The activities for the month include:
- Friday, December 6th– Hat Day (and dress down day) for a $2 donation
- Week of December 9th– Hot Chocolate and Cookies for a $1 donation
- Friday, December 13th– Twin (or Triplet!) Day for a $2 donation
- Friday, December 20th– Ugly Sweater (or Red and Green dress down) for a $2 donation
